In October 2012, Lexmark introduced the monochrome MS812 printer with an OEM-rated print speed of 66 pages per minute (ppm). The MS710 and MS711 followed in December, with prints speeds of 50 and 55 ppm, respectively. January of 2013 saw the release of the 55 ppm MS810, and in March of 2013, the 60 ppm MS811 models. Duty cycles ranged from 250,000 to 300,000 pages per month.
All models use the same 6,000 page low yield and 25,00 page high yield toner cartridges, along with the 100,000 page yield drum unit. The MS711, MS811 and MS812 printers also use a 45,000 page extra high yield cartridge. However, cartridge SKUs vary depending upon the market region in which they are sold. Replacement toner cartridges are available in Use and Return (high and low yield) and Non-Return (high yield) versions. Drum units are available in Use and Return versions only. All models ship with a 10,000 page yield Return Program starter cartridge.
All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
